How can I bid?

Firstly, you must register for an online bidding account. Please click here to create an account.

Secondly, you must register to bid in the sale of choice. This is where you can also request a credit limit. Please click register to bid in the navigation bar to register for the next sale.

What is the minimum bid?

The minimum bid on each lot is $300.

What is a maximum bid?

Your maximum bid is the highest amount you would like to bid on that lot. The system will automatically bid up this amount on your behalf. If you enter the same maximum as another bidder, the first bidder to place the bid will be the winning bidder.

If the bid is below the reserve, the total bid will be accepted.

How do I know if I am the highest bidder?

Below the amount field will state "you are the highest bidder". Additionally, you will receive an email confirming that you are the highest bidder.

How do I know if there is a reserve on a lot?

If there is a reserve on a lot and the reserve has not been met, you will see "reserve not met" under the current bid. Once the reserve has been met, the system will state whether you are the highest bidder or not.

How do I finalise the purchase of my horse?

Once the auction is over, you will receive an email confirming that you are the winning bidder. A member of the APG team will then be in contact to finalise the purchase.

What if someone outbids me in the last few minutes of the auction?

If a bid is made in the last 5 minutes of the auction, the end time of the auction extends by 5 minutes. This is equivalent to an auctioneer saying "going once, going twice". It also allows any under bidders to counter bid.

What are the bidding increments?

The bidding increments for the sale are as follows:
